[shufti]

It's days since Shufti slept properly, what with worrying about the picture, so she's looking somewhat worse for wear when she heads to the Infirmary with Enzo. That and the fact that there's bloodstains all over her sleeves where the owls' talons dug in.

"Thanks for saving my ass back there." she says, as they go in. "I should be okay from here."

Is it hot in here? She's starting to feel like her whole body is made of lead, and the room is sort of blurry...

Enzo taps his icon, changing it to read INFIRMARY ASSISTANT, and firmly ushers her to the examination table. "I'm not leaving until you're done."

[shufti]

"Hm." Shufti agrees, just before collapsing a metre ahead of the table.

Unborn babies are such unforgiving little things when it comes to requisitioning all the resources in a crisis.

[a1enzo]

"Shufti!" Enzo manages to catch her before she actually hits the floor, and lifts her onto the table.

"I need Guppy," he informs the rats, adjusting her into the recovery position. "Or anyone else who's around. Hurry!"

While they scurry off, he checks her breathing and makes sure nothing's bleeding too badly, then goes about taking her vitals.

"'m fine." Shufti persists, when her awareness of her surroundings starts to return.

Her blood pressure is a bit on the low side but the rest of her vitals are fine.

[a1enzo]

"Yeah, I think you are," he says, relaxing. "Still oughta make sure."

He starts cleaning her scratches.

[guppy_sandhu]

"What you got?" Guppy asks, coming in from the main bar.

[shufti]

"I just fainted, I've not eaten in a while." Shufti says.

"Also we fought some things."

[a1enzo]

"We both got scratched up, but nothing major we can see or feel. You up to speed on what's been going on?"

[guppy_sandhu]

"Big goat came and took a bunch of people to the labyrinth?" Guppy says, nodding.

"Okay Shufti, I have to scan you if that's okay."

[shufti]

"Go for it, I had to have one before anyway." Shufti sighs. "He was rude, I won't be going back to him again."

[a1enzo]

"Some kind of anti-Santa who got his wires crossed bigtime," Enzo agrees, swabbing another cut. "We arrested him."

[guppy_sandhu]

"Good job." Guppy grins at him. "I think Gene's after his ass too..."

He gently helps Shufti pull her top up to check for any trauma to her abdomen.

"You have a bit of a bump there already." he says. "Are you sure you're only fifteen weeks?"

He nods to Enzo. "Can you just put some pressure on that top arm wound please, I'll need to fix that in a minute."

[shufti]

"Pretty sure." Shufti says. "Unless I miscounted time in the labyrinth, but we weren't in there very long."

[a1enzo]

"On it." He presses a gauze pad to the wound in question.

[guppy_sandhu]

Guppy runs the scanner over her and looks at the screen.

"Head, fetal heart - looks fine - that's an arm, that's an arm, that's the head again... wait."

He fiddles with the view.

[shufti]

"You did not just say my baby has two heads, did you?" Shufti asks, eying him. "Because if that's happened in the magic there is no way I'm going to explain it at home..."

She's half joking. She hopes.

[guppy_sandhu]

"No no." Guppy changes the angle. "I probably scanned the same bit twice...

"No wait, you're definitely carrying twins." he gets the angle clearer and turns the screen to show her. "Did you leave the scan early?"

[shufti]

"Maybe." Beat. "Okay, as soon as he saw the heart beat I made him stop." Shufti says, staring at the screen.

"Are they okay?"

[a1enzo]

"Dude! Twins?"

That is awesome! If, indeed, they are okay.

[guppy_sandhu]

"Absolutely fine." Guppy says. "You on the other hand are exhausted. You need a good rest, a square meal, and a couple of bandages."

[shufti]

"I don't think I can argue with that." Shufti says, with a relieved smile.
