Paul comes into the kitchen and peers around the door. As a rule he tends not to bother her when she's working, but now he beckons her into the front room. She follows him into the front of the inn and comes face to face with a priest.
She freezes and goes completely white, then screams. Paul grabs her gently by the arm.
"Betty, it's okay, he's an Omnian priest." he reassures her, trying to calm her down. He makes her sit down, worried that he's hurt her. The priest approaches and takes her hands gently.
"Your friends tell me that you are worried about crimes against Nuggan. It has been confirmed by Om that Nuggan is now dead. You are therefore acquitted of all abominations unto him."
She is for a moment speechless.
"Do you understand Betty?" Paul looks at her. "You're free."
